World-renowned choreographer Andrea Miller returns to The Joyce with her company GALLIM to premiere her new full-length work, MOTHER.

A collision of fashion, art and music, MOTHER conjures a fantastical universe — an origin story beyond human myth, charged with mystical allure in a sensual, haunting physical reality.

Rooted in Miller’s own passage through motherhood, the work draws from her intimate experience of creation, nurture, and transformation. Through GALLIM artists’ virtuosic intensity and fearless movement, Miller confronts what she calls the “Apocalypse of Matter”: our growing distance from touch, skin, and organic surrender.

Visceral, mesmerizing, obsessive and aesthetically uncompromising, MOTHER takes us to an unimagined, magnetic world, made to be inhabited through our senses.

Following the performance, the evening transforms into a true GALLIM celebration at TAO Downtown!
