DAVID R. PARKER

David R. Parker is a distinguished leader renowned for his contributions to finance and investment. As the former COO and Chief Compliance Officer of The Archstone Partnerships, a prestigious $5 billion hedge fund based in New York City, Mr. Parker was key in shaping the firm's strategy, long-term planning, and governance. His roles on the Executive and Investor Services Committees highlighted his expertise in high-level decision-making and operational excellence.

Mr. Parker’s career is supported by a solid academic foundation, including a B.S. in Engineering from the University of Texas and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar. He honed his strategic and management skills at the Boston Consulting Group from 1972 to 1976, served as Executive VP of American Can Company, and led Ryder System’s vehicle leasing division as President.

In 1992, Mr. Parker founded ProSource, Inc., growing it into a $4 billion enterprise, taking it public in 1996, and selling his stake in 1998. His entrepreneurial success extended to co-founding a venture capital firm with $110 million in capital, focusing on private equity in IT companies. His boardroom experience includes significant roles at Tupperware Corporation and Spherion Corporation.

Mr. Parker also dedicated a decade to GALLIM's Board of Directors, including three years as interim Board Chair, guiding the company through the pandemic’s challenges.

Additionally, Mr. Parker has made substantial contributions as an educator and philanthropist, notably as Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Florida International University (FIU), where he was instrumental in its growth and development. His leadership of the FIU Foundation board from 1994 to 1997 had a lasting impact.

David Parker’s career exemplifies a blend of strategic vision, operational excellence, and dedicated leadership, establishing him as a transformative figure in the finance and investment landscape.
